Owner/Designer, Colorfast Creative, Raleigh, NC — 2008-present
I have been self-employed as a graphic and web designer for more than 10 years, primarily as a freelancer for Realogy’s Coldwell Banker and ZipRealty brands. I create written and visual content for recruiting efforts, build and maintain template-based recruiting websites, and create and track recruitment advertising. Various other graphic design projects as needed.
Sr. training designer, circuit city stores inc, Richmond, va — 2002-2008
Worked one-on-one with business development executives and subject matter experts to develop training courses for store employees within specific product categories, with a speciality in car stereo and MP3/iPod products. Provided frequent animation and graphic design support for training courses as well. Also produced content and maintained employee “training library” intranet with supplemental product training documents. Required close collaboration with upper management, field personnel, and third-party product representatives. (Company dissolved in late 2008.)
Automatik Education, Tempe, AZ — 2000-2002
Partnered with auto manufacturers to create training course content for new car launches (BMW, MINI, Volkswagen, and others). Light graphic design work. Attended and assisted in deployment at large-scale training events. (Moved back to Virginia to be with terminally ill mother.)
